Hold 'Em Poker by David Sklansky

I suppose that Hold 'Em Poker by David Sklansky, published in 1976, was the first book written about Hold'em.  Since then, Sklansky's book has had umpteen printings and one update.

The book is basic, clearly written, and easy to understand.  It covers a wide range of subjects and strategies that you will need to understand to start playing winning low limit Hold'em. 

Many other fine low limit Hold'em books are now available, but this first one has stood the test of time.  And, even improved with age.
